It’s 2 am in the morning and I can’t sleep, I’ve tried to sleep for the last one hour but I couldn’t so I had to get up. This sort of thing happens to me when/if I’m stressed out. That means something major must be disturbing me, and the worst part is I can’t seem to figure out what that is.
I am here, seated in the middle of my bed, trying to beat my head to understand what the problem is, but the more I do that, the more the problem builds. Surely the fact that my country just borrowed another loan from china can’t be the reason why I’m loosing. hahha.
And so where is the problem, could it be that I don’t have a good job? But there those with none, so I should be thankful for the little that I have.
So what is really the reason? Have you ever found your self in such a situation?, It’s one of the worst situations to be. Because I should be getting enough rest so that I can have a productive day at work, failure to which I’ll be very tired and sleepy during the day.
This is one of the disadvantages of growing up, being an adult, we start getting responsibilities that make us loose sleep at night, I miss the days when the only things in my head were my toys and homework.
Now as I sit here at 2:21 am, I think I am able to gather some tips that will help you and I to prevent such a situation from happening to us;
We can all agree that meditation helps a lot to reduce anxiety, and it is that anxiety that mostly makes us sleepless. Hence try to get into the practice of meditation to help reduce anxiety and possibly get sleep.
So your there awake, thinking of how to get money, now try changing that thought pattern and think of something different. Now, start counting down slowly from 100. If you reach one and your thoughts return, count again.
Aromatheraphy/essential oil therapy, refers to a range of traditional, alternative or complementary therapies that use essential oils and other aromatic compounds.

Keep lights off
If your lights are on, try keeping them off to tell your brain that it’s night time and your supposed to be asleep.
Get the room temperature right
Being too hot or too cold can impact your sleep. Hence make sure that your bedroom has a suitable temperature for you.

Breathing exercises are among very popular relaxation technique. So try deep breathing or doing specific patterns of breathing and that can help de-stress your mind of anxious thoughts.
Melatonin is a hormone that the pineal glad in the brain produces. People can take it as a natural or synthetic supplement to promote restful sleep.
